The result of an unusual partnership between the Agawam Chamber of Commerce, the Town of Agawam and STCC is the Agawam Small Business Assistance Center.

The Center provides confidential counseling services for any size business or support services to individuals who are considering starting a business. Services include assistance in working on business plans, enhancing marking efforts and identifying possible funding sources, as well as providing financial counseling.

The offices are staffed by volunteers who answer the phone and direct inquires to any one or more of the five support agencies. Agencies including S.C.O.R.E. (Service Corps. Of Retired Executives), Massachusetts Small Business Development Center (MSBDC), ACCION USA (for smaller business loans), Western Massachusetts Enterprise Fund, Inc. (for larger business loans) and the Springfield Enterprise Center.
