The applicant must be a resident of the Town of Agawam and accepted/enrolled for fall of the same year at an accredited college or university.
All applications must be submitted to the
Agawam Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Committee, P.O. Box 531, Agawam, MA, 01001.
Determination of the award will be based on the applicant’s specific skills
related to the individual’s planned field of endeavor and commitment to that
field.
Emphasis will be placed on grades, recommendations/references as well as
extra-curricular and community activities.
Transcripts of grades, scholastic
standing/honors must be included along with at least two letters of
recommendation from teachers, counselors and/or school administration.
Each scholar will be for an amount of
$500, which will be awarded to the recipient at AHS awards night in the
spring of the student’s senior year. Applications must be submitted to the
Scholarship Committee by April 1st of the student’s senior year.
The decision of the Committee is final.
